Hello, this is the A-C Central school district calling with some information.
A junior high baseball meeting will be held on Wednesday the 28th of July at 6:30 PM at the Chandlerville school building for any 6th, 7th or 8th grade boy interested in playing junior high baseball.
The first baseball practice will be on Monday the 2nd of August from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Nate's Park.
The bus will leave Ashland at 3:15 and Virginia at 3:30 for practice.
All sports physicals and fees must be paid before the first day of practice or you will not be allowed to practice.
These may be turned in to the coach or the school and this does apply to every sport.
Registration packets were mailed out yesterday.
Please be sure to fill them out when you receive them.
Registration will be on Wednesday the 4th of August from 12:00 noon - 7:00 PM in Ashland and on Thursday the 5th of August from 12:00 noon - 7:00 PM in Chandlerville.
The next Committee of Ten meeting will be Thursday the 5th of August in the Virgina school district's superintendent's office at 7:30 pm.
Finally, a reminder to everyone that starting August 6th and ending August 15th, there wil be a tax reduction "holiday" on retail sales for back-to-school itmes.

Hello, this is the A-C Central school district calling with some information:
Those interested in playing on the High School Golf team, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday the 21st of July at 7:00pm at the front doors of the High School building in Ashland. Those that may be interested but cannot make it to this meeting, please call coach Heller at 415-8010.
Some upcoming consolidation-related meetings are:
Monday, the 12th of July at 7pm, the CARE group will present a graduate panel discussion at New Life Church in Virginia.
Both school boards, administration, Committee of Ten and the public are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.
Thursday the 15th of July at 6:30pm the Virginia school board is holding a special board meeting at the Virgina City Hall.
Monday the 19th of July at 7pm is the Virginia school board's regular board meeting.
Wednesday the 21st of July at 7pm is the A-C Central school board's regualr board meeting.

Hello, this is the A-C Central school district calling with notes.
First of all, Congratulations to our graduates!!!! We are very proud of you!
The commissioned Feasibility Study will be presented tomorrow evening, Thursday the 9th of June, at 7:00 P.M. in the Ashland A-C Central Cafeteria. Please plan to attend; if you cannot attend, please try to watch the live video feed that will be streamed from our website. There will also be an option to watch an archive version of the recording either from the website or on Cass Communication's local access channel. The links to the live and archived video feeds can be found at a-ccentral.com by clicking on the CONSOLIDATION INFORMATION link in the main menu on the left side of the home page.
There will be a Committee of 10 meeting in Chandlerville on Tuesday, the 15th of June at 7:00 P.M.
Also keep an eye on the 2010-2011 Acedemic Calendar link on our district website as we will be sharing upcoming dates such as August student registration there.

Hello, this is the A-C Central school district calling with the following announcements.
We will have an early out tomorrow Friday, June 4th at 11:30 AM
The Care Committee will have a booth at the Virginia BBQ this weekend.
We have had phone issues for the last couple of days; hopefully, the issue is resolved and we are sorry for the inconvenience.
Report cards will be sent out next week with physical and supply lists for the upcoming year.
Middle School recognition will be held tomorrow morning, June 4th at 8:45AM
The Feasibility Study will be presented in the Ashland Cafeteria on June 10th at 7:00 P.M. If you can't attend, we will be live video streaming from our website. The meeting will be archived for future reference.

Hello, This is the A-C Central School District calling with important announcements:
The 1st grade field trip scheduled for tomorrow - Friday the 21st of May - has been cancelled due to the amount of rain we have gotten and the forecast for more rain tomorrow. The classroom teachers have reschedule this trip for Tuesday the 1st of June.
As of Monday the 24th of May, no charging or extras will be allowed for lunch. Notices were sent home yesterday with those students that have a negative or low balance and will be sent home tomorrow also. If your child has a negative balance any time on or after May 24th they will be served a peanut butter sandwich with their lunch instead of the main dish listed on the lunch menu.
The Feasibility Study meeting will be held at A-C Central High School on June 10th at 7:00 P.M. Please plan to attend. There will be a live feed on our website as well.

Hello, this is the A-C Central school district calling with some very important information.
High School Spring Concert will be Tuesday, May 18th and Middle School Spring Concert will be Wednesday, May 19th. This is a change due to a conflict with another high school activity.
Semester exams begin Thursday, May 27th for Middle school students and Friday, May 28th for High school students. Students should begin preparing now so they are best prepared for those exams.
High School baccalaureate services will be Wednesday June 2nd at 7:30 in the gym.
High School graduation practice and graduation pictures will be Thursday June 3rd starting at 1:00. Attendance at this rehearsal is mandatory if students are going through the graduation ceremony.
Middle school honors breakfast will be June 4 starting at 8:45. We will honor students that were on the honor roll the first 3 quarters this year, students that have perfect attendance and students that were in the Good Behavior Club. Parents are welcome. Anyone that wants to donate prizes to this event should contact the school office.
Middle School graduation rehearsal will take place after the honors breakfast.
