Hello,
This is the A-C Central school district calling.
To honor and celebrate the men and women who serve and who have served, there will be no school this Friday: 11-11-11 - Veteran's Day.
The Petersburg Athletic Association is pleased to announce the formation of the Petersburg Junior Football League. The Petersburg Junior Football League will provide the youth of the PORTA and A-C Central school districts the opportunity to participate in organized tackle and flag football. An informational meeting will be held in the PORTA High School Library tonight, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. This is a large undertaking and will require the help of many volunteers! Anyone interested in being a part of the Petersburg Junior Football League should attend the meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Coach McMahan at

Reminder to Jr.High Speech participants: Contest is Saturday, November 12th at Roodhouse Middle School. The bus leaves Chandlerville at 7:15 am and Ashland at 7:45 am. All participants must ride the bus to Contest. If you are going to be leaving with a parent after your performance, you must sign out with Mrs. Kesselring. The bus will return to Ashland between 1:30 and 2:00.

The PJFL will provide the youth of the PORTA and AC Central school districts the opportunity to participate in organized tackle and flag football. Hello,
This is the A-C Central school district calling.
Winter sports meetings will be held at PORTA high school on Tuesday, Nov. 1, beginning at 6:30 PM. This includes parents and athletes participating in JH wrestling and volleyball and high school wrestling, and boys and girls basketball.
There will be a Post Prom Committee meeting on Sunday, Nov. 6th at 7:00 p.m. for all Jr. and Sr. parents in Mrs. Leinberger's room at the Ashland Complex.
The elementary school begins their annual can drive on Monday. All canned and boxed food items will be donated to Cass County Food Pantry which is in desperate need of food. The can drive runs from Halloween-Veteran's Day.
This Sunday is the PTO soup and sandwich dinner beginning at 5 p.m. at the Elementary School with the Halloween Judging and Parade at 6:30 in the Gym. Pizzas are to be picked up at Family Reading Night on Tuesday.
Also, a quick reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, November 28th, as we will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Hello,
This is the A-C Central school district calling.
There is a home Girls Junior High Basketball game scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday the 25th of October to take place in Ashland at the A-C Central facility. Come out and support our Girls Junior High Basketball team.
Also, just a reminder that the Pre-K Family Night scheduled for tonight is cancelled. It has been rescheduled for November 8th from 6:30 - 7:30 PM.

A trivia night will be held in the A-C Central High School cafeteria in Ashland on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society “Pink” Differently fund. There will be a meal beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by trivia at 6:30 p.m. The cost for the trivia will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. The meal will be pulled pork or nachos, dessert, and a drink for $5.00. The meal is open to the public regardless if they will be participating in the trivia night. A babysitting service will be provided at the school for $5.00 per child. If you plan on bringing your child, please contact Maggie Allen at (217) 248-4356. Please come out and support the cause! |

Hello,
This is the A-C Central school district calling.
We will have an Early out this Friday as it is the end of our first Quarter. We will be dismissing at 1:50 for the Elementary and 2:10 for the middle and high schools.
Volley for the Cure will be tomorrow night. Come support the PORTA/AC high school volleyball team as they play Pleasant Plains. Freshman game at 5:00 with JV and Varsity to follow. Come pack the stands in PINK and fight cancer!
Senior night will be on October 20th.
If you haven’t already done so, please sign up for parent-teacher conferences.
