Hello, this is the a-ccentral school district calling with some athletic information:

Junior High Softball practice begins Monday, July 25th. Practice times are 8:30 - 10:30 am. The bus will leave Ashland at 7:15 am and Chandlerville at 7:45 am each day. The bus will return home to Chandlerville at 11:00 am and Ashland at 11:30 am each day. Please call Mrs. Martin at 217-458-2224 if you have any questions. There is no fee for this bus because it is official practice.

Also, football camp begins Monday, July 25th through Friday, July 29th. The junior high camp bus will leave Ashland at 2:45 pm and Chandlerville at 3:15 pm each day. The high school camp bus will leave Ashland at 3:45 pm and Chandlerville at 4:15 PM each day. Please call Mrs. Martin at 217-458-2224 to sign up to ride the bus. The $10 fee is due to the Unit Office or the bus driver on the first day."

The PORTA Jr. High School Cross Country season begins on Monday, August 1st. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade boy or girl who is interested in participating in cross country should attend a meeting with at least one parent/guardian on Monday, August 1st at 6:30 PM at the PORTA Jr./Sr. High School in the commons.

Practices will begin on Tuesday, August 2nd at 8:00 AM. Practices will be held each weekday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM through August 15th. The practice schedule will change beginning on August 16th. Before participating in practice, each student must have a current physical (within the last 12 months) on file in the school office.
Parents and/or athletes who are unable to attend the meeting on August 1st should contact Coach Linda Brown at 741-6140 or at the email address provided on our district website.

Finally, there will be a parent meeting for Baseball on Thursday night, July 28th at 7:00p.m.
