Mrs. Ashley Trueblood
Welcome to A-C Central Elementary School! It is a well-known fact that people are happiest in their life when their work is something that they truly love! I can honestly say that there is no other place I’d rather be than side by side with people who share my passion for education! As the principal of A-C Central Elementary School, I commit to doing everything in my power to provide an atmosphere and experience that promotes a challenging, yet successful opportunity for every child. I am thrilled to be at A-CCES!
The 2020-21 school year is my 1st year as a principal. It is also my 17th year in education. I began my educational career as an art teacher. I am originally from Riverton, but I now reside in Petersburg. After completing high school, I attended Illinois State University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Art. I continued school at the Western Illinois University, receiving my teaching certification. Shortly after, I received my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from WIU as well.
What I love most about my job is that it is different and exciting every day! Students will surprise you, impress you, challenge you, make you laugh, make you cry, tell you the truth, show their innocence, and much, much, more. If we let them, they can make us better people by the lessons they teach. It is my goal to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. I want to facilitate a positive, successful experience for everyone at A-CCES. My door is always open.
Do I have lofty goals for excellence? Absolutely! But, working together, we can challenge, support, and see the outstanding potential and gifts of EVERY student. Won’t you join me on the journey?
I wish you a successful 2020-21 school year!
