The A-C Central Schools Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt organization formed to provide financial support and resources for the A-C Central School District through funds raised by tax deductible contributions. The Foundation has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 not for profit corporation.  It is governed by an eight-member Board comprised of community volunteers, business leaders, and professionals who are committed to education. This group works independently, but in concert with the A-C Central School District in order to improve educational opportunities for the students, the school in general, and the community.

Founded in 2011, the A-C Central Schools Foundation took a brief hiatus in 2013-2014 while the consolidation issue was being dealt with in the community.  With this issue behind us, the group has begun moving forward again with their regular activities.  Recently, the Foundation has supplied grants to the school to assist in the purchase of technology, supplies and materials for projects in the art department and the wood shop, and has plans of providing many more grants in the future.

Funds received by the Foundation are used to fund grants which will increase academic achievement, provide educational equipment and supplies, fund unique projects not possible in the scope of the regular school budget, and support other special projects. Foundation funds supplement, enhance and enrich existing educational programs and environments. Funds may also be used to support innovative academic units designed to increase student achievement.  The Foundation encourages program suggestions and recommendations from district employees, alumni, and community patrons.
