Yesterday the 8th graders attended the Welcome to the Real World program at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Jacksonville. This program is provided by University of Illinois Extension Unit 15. Students went through a simulation where they chose a career and were given a base salary for one month. Using this salary, they paid their bills for the entire month. They do a similar unit in Mrs. Lindsey's Business class when they also learn basic banking functions including writing a check, balancing their checkbook and much more.

Knights of the week!
These students were nominated for being helpful and trustworthy!
